The Future of Education

Madeleine Larsson is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Management and Engineering at Linköping University (LiU). Her research is mainly connected to Environmental technology, Sustainable energy and nutrient supply and Collaboration between students and companies for sustainable solutions. The last three years she has been teaching/coaching engineering students in their bachelor thesis course where the students work with sustainability related projects at companies. In parallel to this work Madeleine has together with colleagues at Linköping University, University of Oldenburg and Vennebroek Academic Services developed, implemented and evaluated teaching activities within the project ScaleUp4Sustainability (S4S, https://www.scaleup4sustainability.eu/). In the S4S-project, we brought students' knowledge into practice. We developed new teaching modules in close collaboration with leading enterprises and delivered new concepts to integrate economic and ecologic thinking in business and education with the aim to foster the development of innovative business models in green venturing.
