George Kokolas has been working as the Academic Director and Teacher Trainer for
Express Publishing for the last 23 years. He is an expert in academic support, syllabus design, teacher training and teacher coaching.
He holds a Level 5 Positive Psychology Diploma and a Level 5 Diploma as a Positive Psychology Practitioner trying to implement Positive Education into English Language Teaching. He recently became a registered Professional Practitioner Member for the Positive Psychology Guild ( U.K based), with a specialisation in Positive Education for English language teachers.
He is a certified LEVEL 5 TEFL teacher with over 30 years of experience in ELT. He is also a certified ADVANCED Neurolanguage CoachⓇ, practising Neurolanguage CoachingⓇ professionally, fostering and promoting “brain-friendly” techniques for language learning.
He is a well-known, respected international speaker, as he has delivered over 1000 successful seminars/workshops/training sessions at international ELT conferences in 89 countries worldwide.
He also holds a BA in English Literature from Derree College, the American College of Greece.
Since 2017 until today he has been the host and producer of the educational podcast Teachers’ Coffee, interviewing prominent figures of education and spreading ideas among the global community of teachers.
From December 2020 to May 2022, he was the Senior Editor of the Neurolanguage Collective Magazine, acquiring useful skills as an editor.
Since 2020, he has been the founder and CEO of ELT ACTION's pioneering training/networking platform, promoting personal branding, networking and top-notch training services among ELT teachers globally!
In May 2021, he represented ULS as an Associate Consultant at the final conference of the EU TEFL-ePAL project held at Anadolu University. Starting in May 2023, he also works as an Associate Consultant representing ULS for the EU-funded project CAMPS (CLIL FOR ARTS AND MUSIC FOR PRIMARY SCHOOLS).
In December 2022, he was awarded the title of one of the top-five ELT Influencers for 2022 by ELT NEWS, for his daily, meaningful presence and activity on social media, helping and supporting ELT teachers worldwide.
