Johanna Schnurr studied cultural studies, sociology and psychology in Munich and Hamburg. After completing her Master's degree in 2005, she worked for several years in a management consultancy before assuming responsibility for the development of corporate strategy in a public company.
Since 2017, she has been working as a lecturer at universities of applied sciences, in particular at the Technical University of Lübeck. Johanna has teaching experience in a variety of academic contexts, including undergraduate and graduate courses in economics, industrial and mechanical engineering, computer science, and digital transformation and sustainability. She gives lectures and seminars on strategic and psychological topics such as organisational psychology, business ethics and digital impact. She also conducts seminars and exercises on the development of leadership, self-management, communication and professional behaviour skills.
Johanna Schnurr's research focuses on how interdisciplinary skills can be developed in subject teaching. She is engaged in the development of novel teaching approaches, including escape rooms, the design of learning journeys, and the promotion of student engagement.
