Robert Pucher is a computer science professor and head of the department of computer science at the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien. Robert Pucher is responsible for the bachelor´s program Computer Science and for the master´s program Software Engineering.
Robert Pucher held management positions for software development in small and large companies. Among his main responsibilities was the management of development and implementation for large software projects, mainly in the medical field. Since 1998 he is on permanent tenure as at the University of Applied Sciences, Technikum Wien. 2000 Robert Pucher was appointed as head of the Diploma degree program “Elektronische Informationssysteme”, in 2003 as head of the bachelor degree program “Computer Science” and as of 2006 he is heading the Master’s degree program “Software Engineering”.
Robert Pucher, native from Austria holds a Doctoral Degree from the University of Technology in Graz, Austria and a Diplomingenieur Degree in “Electronics and Communications” from the same University. During his professional career he has completed many seminars and trainings on IT, and also on human communications. Successful combination of Hard and Soft Skills in IT projects is a special focus of his training activities on Project Management.
Robert founded the laboratory for software usability at the University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien and initiated a focus on usability engineering education in various fields of the University.
