She acquired her pedagogical education in the field of preschool and special pedagogy gradually from secondary school to university studies (Secondary Pedagogical School in Lučenec (1980 - 1984), Extension studies of special pedagogy for kindergarten teachers at the Pedagogical Faculty of Comenius University in Bratislava (1985-1987), Master's studies in Preschool Pedagogy at the Faculty of Pedagogy of Comenius University in Bratislava (1995 -1999), Rigorous examinations in Preschool Pedagogy at the Faculty of Pedagogy of Comenius University in Bratislava (2000) In 2006 she completed her doctoral studies in Pedagogy and in 2016 she completed the habilitation procedure in Preschool and Elementary Pedagogy at the Faculty of Pedagogy of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica.
Before she started working at the Faculty of Education of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica in 2005, she was a teacher with special pedagogy in special kindergarten classes (Special kindergarten in Železná Breznica (1984-1988), Special class for children with physical disabilities in Zvolen (1988-1990), Special speech therapy class in Zvolen (1990-1994), Class for children with delayed school attendance in Zvolen (1994-1995). In 1999 - 2005 she worked as a special educator at the Children's Integration Centre in Zvolen (1999 - 2005). During her time at the university she taught several subjects (Pre-school pedagogy, Theory of education and training, Theory and practice of pre-primary education, Inclusive education in pre-primary education, Pre-school pedagogy, Education of children with specific needs 1, Speech Therapy Prevention in Kindergarten, Development of Language Competences in Kindergarten, Pedagogical Counselling in Kindergarten, Semester Educational Project) in the Bachelor's degree (Preschool and Elementary Pedagogy, Bc) and in the Master's degree (Preschool Pedagogy). Currently she is a guarantor of the courses Pedagogical Approaches to Children with Diverse Needs (B.Sc.), Education and Training of Pupils with Special Needs (M.Sc.) and Inclusion as a Research Problem (PhD.). She also teaches courses in Educational Counselling and Teamwork, Developing Language Competence 1 and Educational Theory in the Common Core. In the faculty course offerings, she provides Academic Writing 1 and 2. She is a member of the disciplinary committee at both the Faculty of Education at UMB and the Faculty of Education at KU in Ružomberok. She guarantees the study programme Preschool and Elementary Pedagogy (Bc.). She is a member of the scientific board of PFUMB. From 2006 until now she has been a member of the research teams of 4 scientific research projects, 3 national projects and principal investigator of 3 scientific research projects. She was a member of 2 international projects. She has carried out research and published its results in the field of diagnostic and research possibilities of children's drawing, taking into account the needs of preschool children, development and validation of methodologies for the development of children's speech and in the prevention of impaired communication skills, children's conceptions of the concepts of pre-primary curriculum and inclusive pre-primary education, the development of linguistic and literacy in preschool and elementary pedagogy, and the care and education of 2-year-old children in kindergartens). In total, she has published 230 papers. She has completed 18 lecture stays abroad. She has given 20 invited lectures and 47 papers at foreign and domestic conferences.
