Anca Cristina Colibaba is a professor at the Gr.T.Popa University, Iasi, Romania and acts as Chair of the Languages Department.
She is also the Executive President of EuroEd Foundation, an international education and training organization with a specific expertise in European cooperation and project management.
Dr. Colibaba is an active member in the coordination boards of a number of national and international bodies: Quest, the Romanian Association for Quality in Language Services, FocusEd Association, an international agency that promotes
innovation, excellence and diversity in education. She is an international inspector for Eaquals, the European Association for Quality of Language Services.
In 1977 Anca Cristina Colibaba graduated from the Faculty of Letters, Al.I. Cuza University, and in 1997 she was awarded a doctoral degree from the same university; she has an international educational management diploma from the School for International Training, Brattleboro-USA, Cambridge-UK and Queensland-Australia (IDLTM). Since 1977 she has worked in education
(secondary, tertiary and adult education). Since 1990 she has had managerial responsibilities both in public and private educational institutions and for the last 22 years she has constantly been working in the field of international project planning and management.
Anca Cristina Colibaba is an expert in the planning and management of international projects (EU and transcontinental) focusing in particular on the areas of education, training, culture and research. So far, she has been involved as a project initiator and manager in over 100 projects funded by various donors, of which the vast majority have been funded by the European Commission.
Several European projects that she coordinated were selected as examples of best practice by the European Commission or were awarded the European Label or other international distinctions. She has developed and coordinated partnerships with more than 500 bodies throughout Europe, Asia and USA, including universities, public authorities, training organizations, research centres.
She has also been involved as an external expert in quality management and external evaluation of several European projects mostly funded through the Lifelong Learning Programme.
Anca Cristina Colibaba is often invited as a speaker or expert at International Conferences to share her experience in European collaboration and the projects in which she has been involved.
She is also the main organizer of international conferences in the field of education and training. Anca Cristina Colibaba is the author of several publications in the field of teaching/learning foreign languages and she has published more than 100 articles on educational and social issues.
