Rebecca M. Chory, Ph.D., graduated from Michigan State University in 2000 with a doctorate specializing in Organizational and Mass Communication. She spent 14 years as a Professor at West Virginia University before joining the College of Business at Frostburg State University in 2014. She is currently a professor and graduate faculty member in the Management Department.
Dr. Chory’s research focuses on organizational justice in workplace relationships, particularly in workplace romances and male-female workplace friendships, and antisocial organizational behavior. She also researches fairness and ethics in the classroom and students’ responses, as well as women’s leadership and management history. Dr. Chory has published over 60 peer-reviewed journal articles and chapters and has made over 120 professional presentations. She has been quoted in the Wall Street Journal, Glamour, The Atlantic, RealSimple.com, and BuzzFeed. She is a former Fulbright Scholar to Budapest, Hungary and is the co-founder and head program planner of the George Gerbner Conference on Communication, Conflict, and Aggression, which is held in Budapest.
