Sara Mónico Lopes, PhD and degree in Anthropology, master degree in Contemporary Social History. Is professor at Higher School of Education and Social Sciences of the Polytechnic Institute of Leiria (ESECS-IPL). She is Coordinator of the IPL60+ Program, Coordinator of the Master's Degree in Intervention for Active Ageing do IPLeiria. Researcher at the FCT R&D Unit-CICS.NOVA - Interdisciplinary Centre of Social Science – CICS.NOVA.IPLeiria. His research has crossed the areas of anthropology and education, training and lifelong learning, social trajectories, adult educations and social employability. She is author and co-author of books and scientific articles about anthropology and lifelong education, adult education, ageing, social trajectories of adult students and acess to higher education.
In Polytechnic of Leiria has been teaching courses related to the areas of social and cultural anthropology, anthropology of education, lifelong learning, social problems and methodologies of social research.
