The Future of Education

Dr. Deris is a Professor and Program Coordinator of the Early Childhood Special Education Program in the school of education at MN State University, Mankato (MSU, Mankato). Prior to joining MSU, Mankato in 2011, he worked as an infant/toddler, public preschool and elementary teacher, charter school teacher, Early Steps Provider, special education coordinator, consultant, and trainer. He has worked in the field of early childhood since 1998 and holds teaching licensure in early childhood special education, developmental disabilities, emotional behavioral disorders, and specific learning disabilities. He has visited the infant/toddler and preschool programs in Reggio Emilia, Italy and surrounding regions, incorporating this knowledge into the Early Childhood Special Education Academic Programs at MSU, Mankato.
