Casilde A. Isabelli, (Ph.D. Spanish Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition and Teaching, 2001, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign), is a professor of Spanish linguistics and is currently the department chair.
Since arriving in 2000, Isabelli served as the director of the basic Spanish language program (SPAN 111-212) overseeing TA training and program direction and has taught a range of lower-division, upper-division and graduate-level courses in the Spanish B.A. and M.A. programs. She also co-hosted the 15th Generative Approaches to Second Language Acquisition Conference at the University of Nevada, Reno and is the faculty advisor for the University's Sigma Delta Pi (National Hispanic Honor Society) Chapter.
