Junming Chen is an associate professor from Xiamen University of Technology, China.
Junming has a master's in TESL (University of San Francisco, US) and a PhD in Second Language Acquisition (Chinese Acquisition) (University College Cork, Ireland).
For the last 20 years, he has constantly been working in the field of second language acquisition, covering ESL and CSL at the university level. He has focused on technology in language learning, Task-based Language Teaching in ESL and CSL, and linguistic development in Study Abroad.
Junming has been an examiner for language tests and qualification exams, including College Entrance Test China (2005-2008), PETS China (Public English Test System in China) (2009-2016), China National Tour-guide Qualification Examination (English Examiner / Chinese Examiner) (2001- ) and others. Besides, he has been a training specialist and an English consultant on promotion, translation, and interpretation in the hospitality business and adult education.
He has published eight academic articles on translation, technology and L2 learning, and English and Chinese acquisition. In addition, he has compiled two textbooks on Oral Language acquisition with Task-based Language Teaching and Translation.
