As an associate professor of education (pedagogy) at Nord University, I have delved into the fields of classroom management and the transformative effect of technology on education. My research has been dedicated to understanding and explaining how well-considered strategies for classroom management not only contribute to, but are essential for establishing inclusive and supportive learning environments. This is especially true in classrooms that are richly equipped with technological aids, where I have explored the complexity that technological innovation introduces into pedagogy, as well as the new opportunities it presents.
I have specifically focused on how the integration of iPads and other digital tools in teaching transforms both learning processes and practices of classroom management and how this challenges traditional approaches to classroom management, with the aim of uncovering how technology can be used to promote a more inclusive and engaging education. Through this work, I have sought ways to apply technological innovation to strengthen pedagogical practice.
The present project focuses on the comprehensive process surrounding the implementation and integration of Physically Active Learning as an instructional approach across five primary schools.
