Marie-Anne Visoi

Marie-Anne Visoi is an Associate Professor, Teaching Stream, in the Department of French, University of Toronto, Canada. Her pedagogical research focuses on the integration of culture in the second language curriculum and the development of oral and written proficiency in hybrid and online courses.

Her recent publications include: “Blended and Online Teaching in the Humanities”, Cambridge Scholars Publishing; «Transgression, Stylistic Variation and Narrative Discourse in the Twentieth Century Novel”, Cambridge Scholars Publishing.

She was awarded funding for several teaching projects: designing and teaching the two online courses FSL472H Reading and Writing Fiction and Non-fiction in French and FCS292H Love, Sex and Desire in French Literature and Cinema (Online Undergraduate Course Initiative Program); the action research project “Developing Linguistic Proficiency, Cultural Competence and Peer Interaction through Blended Teaching and Multimodal Learning Experiences in French” (Fund for Online Innovations in Learning); “Experiential Learning in French Arts and Science Undergraduate Students” (Curriculum Renewal Initiative Fund).
