Mr. Petsimeris Christos studied Law at the Law School of the University of Athens, where he graduated and completed his Master’s studies in the Department of Civil Procedure. He then went to the University of Edinburgh where he completed postgraduate studies in European Law, which he completed with "Distinction". Both Master's Degrees were obtained by receiving a Scholarship. He is currently preparing his Doctoral Thesis at the Department of Environment of the Ionian University on the topic: "Investigation of the attitudes and of the Human Resources of the Greek Public Sector regarding Sustainable Development and the policies that affect them".
After graduating, Mr. Petsimeris worked as a Trainee Lawyer and subsequently entered the National School of Public Administration and Self-Government, simultaneously acquiring the status of Civil Servant. Today he serves in the Ministry of Interior (former Ministry of Administrative Reconstruction) and as Head of the Department of International Relations, with responsibility for the International Representation of the Ministry and the Management of its International Relations. Among other things, he is a representative of his Service in foreign institutions and bodies (OECD and EU), but also in corresponding conferences on matters of competence of his Service. He is the Vice-President of the WG Green Public Administration of the Council of Europe, in the framework of the International Conference of which, which took place in March 2023 in Strasbourg, he made a presentation on Green Public Administration, while in November of the same year he made a presentation at the relevant invitation of the UN presentation on Forest Protection in Greece at the UN World Conference on Environmental Protection in San Marino.
Mr. Petsimeris has significant teaching experience which includes Teaching European Law at the University of Edinburgh, Teaching Legal Subjects at the School of the Municipal Police, as well as at the School of Continuing Education and Training of the Hellenic Police, while at the same time he collaborates with the Greek National Center of Public Administration having taught subjects in his field for more than 2000 hours. At the same time, he is included in the "EU TAIEX" register of experts of the European Commission participating in missions of the Commission's know-how transfers to third countries such as Ukraine, Georgia, Tunisia and North Macedonia.
Mr. Petsimeris speaks three (3) languages, English (excellent), French (very good) and Spanish (good), and he has attended a significant number of Conferences, Training Seminars and workshops.
