From October 2020 to June 2022, she was a research assistant on the ROGER project at the West University of Timisoara. This project aimed at developing a corpus-based methodology for analyzing academic writing genres in Romanian universities from a contrastive perspective: genres written in Romanian versus genres written in English.
Since she started her doctoral studies in October 2023, she has been working as a research assistant at the CODHUS center. The center is a research facility that promotes the multidisciplinary application of digital methods in corpus linguistics. They develop software solutions for universities and pre-university institutions, including language teaching tools, translation tools, and digital teaching methods.
From June to September 2024, Adela completed a PhD internship at the University of Turin (Università degli Studi di Torino), Italy, gaining hands-on experience in corpus linguistics research within the Department of Humanities.
Since September 2020, Adela has been teaching English and Romanian at the “Learning Together” multidisciplinary center in Arad, using the CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) model. Alongside her teaching, she integrates research into her educational practices, contributing to ongoing studies on innovative teaching methods and approaches in language education.
Her areas of growing expertise include corpus linguistics, natural language processing (NLP), literary studies, and teaching English as a second language (ESL) to middle school, high school, and university students. She also teaches adults specialized English tailored to specific professional fields.
