Graduated in Design - Communication Design (1998) at the Superior School of Art and Design-ESAD Matosinhos. Maste in Design and Graphic Production (2006) at Barcelona University - Department of Design and Image. Title of University Specialist - DEA (2008) at Polytechnic University from Valencia – Faculty of Fine Arts.
Teacher in higher education (2006 to date), at IPCA Superior Design School, and the Director of the Degree in Graphic Design, since 2019.
Integrated member of the Institute for Research in Design, Media and Culture - ID+ (since 2017 to date) participating in the CAOS Group – Communication, Art, Object and Synergies groups and the NIT Group – Typographic Research Center.
Collaborator at CIEBA - Center for Research and Studies in Fine Arts (2014 to 2016), and, CEHLE – Center for Studies in the History of Books and Publishing (2006 to 2008).

Member of the research project team “PROJETO DEI – SIAC – business training project of the Cávado Intermunicipal Community (CIM) in partnership with the IPCA Design School” (2018).
Has published several articles in specialized journals, participated as a speaker at several conferences national and international and does research work on the themes of Design, Arts, Humanities, History, Culture and Digital Media.
More recently, within the scope of the IPCA Internationalization, has participated in the PROGRAM ERASMUS FOR TEACHING AND INTERNATIONALIZATION and in the RUN activities - REGIONAL UNIVERSITIES NETWORK, participating in meetings and training (ERASMUS Staff Mobility For Training) at NHL STENDEN – University of applied sciences (Leeuwarden. Netherlands), in RUN-EU meetings and training actions Exploratory Mission in Art & Design at TUS – Technological University of the Shannon: Midlands Midwest (Limerick, Ireland) and in the RUN-EU Short Advanced Program “Design and Food Expedition” in HAMK – Hame University of Applied Sciences (Hameenlinna, Finland). Apart from European countries, has also participated in ERASMUS + cooperation with Pedagógica University from Maputo (Mozambique).
