Graduate in Electrical and Computer Engineering, completed the Master in System and Automation at University of Coimbra and PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the university of Trás-os-Montes and Alto Douro.
I conduct research in the fields of image processing, specifically medical imaging, fault tolerance systems, Ambient Assistant Living, and STEM education. I've been a collaborator at the INESC TEC Research Center since 2015.
I produced over 60 scientific papers and was involved in the planning of six conferences and symposiums, two of which I served as Conference Chair. I was a member of the scientific committees for 23 international and 12 national conferences. Organized 15 technical-scientific events at ISEC. I am a member of seven magazine editorial boards. I reviewed 33 international journal articles and 112 conference papers. I supervised 12 master's projects and served on 26 master's juries.
