Abstract
Teaching English to Young Learners (TEYL) course at the English Language Teacher Training Department at Anadolu University furnish the students who take this course with rich and various techniques, methodological knowledge and practical applications they will make use of in their classrooms when they become English teachers. Each year the course is modified considering the course instructors’ feedback. However, it seems that students taking this course should be also asked to give their ideas about the course to determine the issues to be modified and/or improved. Thus, this research aimed at collecting the ideas of students who were taking TEYL course. A questionnaire was developed to find out what to improve or modify. The categories in the questionnaire consist of the issues modified according to the course instructors feedback in years such as the design, content, book, course instructor, etc. Frequency analysis was followed for the multiple-choice parts while categorization technique was used for the open-ended replies. The findings were used to improve the current TEYL course. They were also e-mailed to the related national educational institutions.
