Abstract
The European Commission considers workers and citizens’ free mobility one of the most important right to be encouraged, because it represents an essential component of common labour market, in order to stimulate the economic growth and to fight against unemployment.
However a large number of people move to other countries without sufficient information about the destination country and mainly without a professional plan.
Furthermore there is an additional factor which is a crucial asset to anyone seeking a job abroad: the knowledge of the language. Our project, funded by the European Commission within the Erasmus+ Programme, aims at promoting the free and successful movement of workers in Europe through the use of Content and Language Integrated Learning.
The partnership developed an Open Educational Resource in order to support all those people who want to have a job experience in another European Country both in terms of vocational guidance and language training.
The Educational resources have been created in 5 different languages (English, Italian, French, Spanish, German) and structured as a CLIL course with gradual difficulties in order to constitute also a useful language tool, that will strengthen the communicative competence of the trainees.
The result is a free online training course divided in 4 modules and available in 2 different target language levels, B2 and C1. The topics addressed by the course are:
• How to write an effective curriculum vitae
• How to write an effective cover letter
• How to behave during a job interview
• What are the most common employment contracts
• What are the best searching channels
• How to deal with intercultural issues
Keywords: Open educational resource, mobility, vocational guidance, CLIL.
