The Influence of Non-Linguistic Factors on Behaviour of Daily Task Translation for English to Farsi interpreters

Abstract

The influence of non-linguistic factors on behavior of daily task translation for English to Farsi interpreters.
As you may know, in translating from source language to target language or inverse, there are many factors that might be affected on daily task as an interpreter. There are different non-linguistic and linguistic factors in which could deemed on interpretation as well. In this paper, it is attempted to investigate just some non-linguistic factors that modify interpretation for a translator.
Some factors such as psychological dependence to confirm first meaning,there is no familiarity to different usage of words and phrases in various styles of reading, using special words or phrases just for matching them in background knowledge, lack of sufficient knowledge, precipitancy in translating and many other factors would be investigated here.
In this paper, the samples and instances have been derived from English to Farsi or vice versa. There is no statistical method or target group and just it is based on my experience as an interpreter in routine job.
