Abstract

The human being is living a moment of quick and hasty changes to which is necessary that education provides an answer. Globalization and all technological advances have developed in people certain anti-tolerant and racist attitudes that it is important to avoid. Therefore, today it is important to put into practice active methodologies that motivate students to understand the diversity present in societies. Advances in communications and new technologies could help to improve current methodological proposals to meet the needs of today’s world. That is why this study proposes activities developed through ICT with the aim of modernising the didactic proposals and promoting in students attitudes of respect and tolerance. New technologies are understood in the study as the key tool to establish equality and equity relationships from small through the use of the foreign language, with the aim of not only relating to their classmates but also to other international students. The development of technological competences is vital for the future of the students since the world, as commented before, is constantly changing and developing, so that the domain of this tool applied in the foreign language classroom, where they develop their linguistic competence, is necessary at the same time as very interesting for their full development as citizens of this 21st century. Having all this in mind, the study wants to prove the importance of ICT implementation to help students develop interculturality, thanks to what cultural diversity awareness will be developed in them.
