Innovation in Language Learning

The main intention of this poster is to illustrate the different stages an EFL teacher goes through their academic and professional paths, since the early beginning of the first given lessons until the mastery stage of their careers. These stages were inspired and adapted from the world-known Detective Comics (DC) story, The Batman. A simple man dressed as a bat and armed with no more than a great intellect and physical skills that were mere product of hard work and sacrifices. These and many more noticeable similarities such as, inspection, exploration, examination and mastery moments can be found between an EFL teacher and the gothic superhero. As a result of that, this parallel wishes to invite teachers to reflect on their practice, re-evaluate their methods, strategies and approaches in order to truly make them believe they can change the world without the necessity of any kind of special or alien superpowers or at least make them know that no matter how difficult the process is, help can come from the darkest and loneliest moments.
