Innovation in Language Learning

Current article touches upon some questions dealt with the realisation of dialogues in the classroom through the use of authentic situations, themes as well as language material.

Several interactive techniques and strategies are analysed and brought forward. The  harmonised use of these components encourages the formation of the learners' language-communicative skills and their life competences as well.

Every communicative activity is different. The key element is that the activity is based on the authentic language around a realistic situation.

As dialogues are one of the main types of speech (spoken interaction), we need to know how to handle them skillfully keeping in mind that an authentic dialogue always brings external situations into the classroom along with the new structures and vocabulary. To make the most of this techniques teachers should enhance their students’ creativity and be creative themselves, engaging their students in such teaching activities as role-playing, dramatization, problem solving and decision-making,  small group works, etc.

Within the scope of this article we try to clarify also the idea that only a relaxing classroom atmosphere based on the presence of learner-centered instructional context will make real the development  of   the above-mentioned skills, simultaneously ensuring effectiveness in the teaching process.
