Abstract
This paper presents the experiences of two language instructors who teach English and Greek and have delivered tailor-made online professional language courses to two companies based in Cyprus. As both instructors had no prior experience in teaching online beginner-level language courses for in-house purposes, they developed syllabi in Greek and English that catered to specific business needs. To explore their experiences and challenges in creating these tailor-made online courses, a qualitative research case study was conducted involving the instructors as researchers. Data was collected through fieldnotes and semi-structured interviews between the instructors. The study delves into the instructors' teaching methods and the design of their online learning environment for teaching a second language for specific purposes. Given the limited literature on online in-house language professional courses, the insights from this study may prove useful to language instructors and institutions seeking to support and enhance online in-house language teaching.
