Abstract
The rapid advancement of technology and the recent global pandemic have significantly reshaped educational paradigms, emphasizing the need for innovative teaching methods [1]. This study investigates the effectiveness of blended learning in enhancing student engagement and learning outcomes in Chinese higher education. Blended learning, which integrates online digital media with traditional face-to-face classroom methods, offers a dynamic and interactive learning environment [2]. This research focuses on a cohort of undergraduate students participating in a blended learning course, compared to a control group experiencing conventional teaching methods. Data were collected through academic student surveys, engagement metrics and teacher Interviews. The results indicate that blended learning significantly improves student engagement and motivation, with participants demonstrating higher levels of interaction and satisfaction. Additionally, the study explores the challenges faced by both instructors and students in adapting to this hybrid model, providing recommendations for optimizing blended learning strategies in post-pandemic educational settings. These findings highlight the potential of blended learning to transform traditional educational practices, fostering a more engaging and effective learning experience.
