CLIL in Modern Developing Education

Abstract
Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) is an innovative approach that combines subject-specific instruction with language learning, offering a dual focus on both content mastery and language acquisition.[1] In my practice, CLIL has proven highly effective when integrated with modern technologies and collaborative learning strategies. For example, in a biology module taught in English, students not only learned scientific concepts like photosynthesis but also developed their language skills through collaborative experiments. Similarly, in a history class, I used digital storytelling where students created documentaries on historical events, enhancing both their language and critical thinking abilities. By leveraging technology, such as virtual reality in geography lessons, students explored global landscapes while practicing English. These innovations demonstrate that CLIL not only boosts engagement but also prepares students for the multilingual demands of the globalized world. This methodology’s success lies in its ability to create a real-world context for language use, making both content and language learning more meaningful and effective.
