Abstract

This study aims to identify the impact of artificial intelligence on developing methods of teaching the Arabic language in general and on teaching Arabic rhetoric in particular. This study also attempts to trace a sample of rhetorical methods with their examples and interpretation in artificial intelligence searches and applications, and to investigate the conformity of the limits and concepts proposed by artificial intelligence with its interpretation of those examples. This study represents a model of “Chat GPT’s explanation of some of the rhetorical methods such as simile, metaphor, and metonymy, a comparison between what artificial intelligence proposed and what is rooted in the depths of Arabic rhetoric, especially educational ones and those intended for teaching. Rhetorical methods and arts are characterized by multiple connotations and imagined meanings that are followed by multiple interpretations that may differ depending on the cultural patterns of society, which creates a challenge for those internet searches and their programmers and for the mechanism of receiving them in terms of it being an educational corner for the learner of rhetoric. Between human thinking, authentic sources, and a digital vision that opens multiple horizons for rapprochement between the human sciences and computer sciences, language is not isolated from development. Rather, natural language processing is one of the pillars of artificial intelligence, which is based on language codes and algorithms.

This study raises a number of questions that it attempts to analyze and answer:
- How does “Chat GPT” deal with an analysis of some of the rhetorical examples circulated in rhetoric books as an explanation of the concept of graphic art?
- What are the new angles that “Chat GPT” presents to the recipient in analyzing the models entrusted to him?
- What are the ways to exploit these horizons to make them an innovative educational tool in education?
- What is the evaluation of this artificial intelligence that helps teach and teach Arabic in general and rhetoric in particular? Chat GPT in particular?

Concluding that interest in artificial intelligence as an educational method is fertile and promising, and represents a real opportunity to bridge the digital gap for the Arabic language, urging the provision of scientific, material and human support for research that is novel and has good scientific returns in serving the Arabic language and making it a living language. It also confirms that it is difficult to establish a standard measure for Chat GPT because every time a search produces multiple data.
