There is More to Artificial Intelligence

Abstract
As artificial intelligence becomes increasingly integrated into education, much of the conversation centers around innovation and efficiency. However, an essential element often goes overlooked—teachers’ emotional and mental well-being, which directly influences student outcomes, especially in language learning. AI cannot replace the human qualities of self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and meaningful connection that are important for effective teaching. Research has shown that mindfulness enhances focus, reduces stress, and strengthens emotional regulation—skills that are equally important for teachers as they are for learners. In this hands-on workshop, educators will engage in practical mindfulness techniques that can be easily integrated into their professional routines. By the end of the session, participants will have a deeper understanding of how mindfulness supports both teaching and language learning. They will leave with effective strategies that enhance their professional development and empower them to positively impact students’ linguistic growth and emotional resilience.
