Nor Fariza is an Associate Professor at the School of Language Studies and Linguistics, UKM. She is currently Chief Editor of GEMA Online® Journal of Language Studies, which is a SCOPUS journal. The Journal is indexed in 10 databases, including Elsevier.
She graduated with a degree in TESL from University of Lancaster, UK and MA in English for Specific Purposes from University of Warwick, UK. She completed her Ph.D in Applied Linguistics in 2008.
Her area of expertise is Discourse Analysis and her research interests are in discourse (spoken, written, e-discourse) and social business.
She has been involved in many research projects in her area of research interests, funded by UKM grants and outside grants. She is currently involved in 10 research projects (3 as the Head of Project and 7 as associate researcher).
She has presented in both local and international conferences and has published more than 20 papers in quartile, scopus, indexed and reviewed journals.
