Chara Mavrodimou holds a BA in Primary School Education from the University of Ioannina, Greece (1991), a post-graduate diploma with specialization in Language Teaching from the University of Ioannina, Greece (2006) and a Ph.D in Linguistics from the University of Tirana, Albania (2012).
She has been working as a primary teacher for 18 years. She is permanent staff of the Ioannina, Greece School of Intercultural Education, teaching bilingual students. For 3 years she has been working in host classes teaching Greek to Albanian students. She is also a member of the Advisor Board of the Albanian journal “Studiuesi”.
Her research interests and publications concern the areas of Intercultural Education, Comparative Linguistics (Greek & Albanian) and Bilingualism.
