Kathleen Duquemin

Kathleen holds an MA in Applied Linguistics, and Graduate Degrees in both Japanese Language and Education. She was recently awarded an Endeavour Language Teachers Fellowship from the Australian Government. A passionate learner and teacher of languages, she has taught Japanese in Victorian government, independent and catholic schools for 12 years. Within her teaching, she has focused on utilising technology as a tool for teaching as well as learning.

For her research thesis for the LanguagesHAT (highly accomplished teacher) project run by the MLTAV, Kathleen conducted action research in the classroom to explore the challenges and benefits in aligning teaching with technology.

She has been involved in the development of the Australian Curriculum: Languages, and as a writer and curator in the development of digital resources for language learning. Kathleen has presented extensively on ICT in Language Education, Curriculum Development and Primary language education.
