Innovation in Language Learning

Ahmet BAŞAL, Ph.D., is an assistant professor in the Department of Foreign Languages Education at Yıldız Technical University in İstanbul, Turkey. He is also the vice president of Distance Education Center at the same university. Prior to his position at YTU, he worked as an English teacher for 7 years at Ministry of National Education and 5 years as an English instructor and the vice president of the Distance Education Center for 4 years at a state university in Turkey. His research publications and research interests include teacher education, distance education, web-based language learning and teaching, use of technology in language learning and teaching, and materials development.
