Celia Sokolowsky is working for the German Adult Education Organisation (Deutscher Volkshochschul-Verband, DVV) in the project »Ich will Deutsch lernen«.
Celia has been teaching German as a Second Language in course for youth and adult immigrants since 1996. Later she worked as a member of staff at the University of Bielefeld and as a teacher-trainer. She developed different trainings and published material for the qualification of teachers at Adult Education Centres in Germany and other institutions in the field of L2 and literacy instruction.
In 2011 Celia became a staff member of DVV to create an online learning portal for the language acquisition of immigrants in Germany. She joined the team to develop the didactical conception and curricula for the project and to advise the authoring of texts, films and exercises for the portal.
She represented the project in several national and international conferences and events.
