Kobra Derakhshan is a full time instructor at Islamic Azad University (IAU), at Central Tehran Branch.
She has studied TEFL at Allameh Tabatabayi University in Tehran. Her research interests include Writing, Collaborative Teaching and Learning, Teacher Training, Language and Culture, contrastive Linguistics, Globalization, Glocalization, and innovations in teaching.She has been teaching English at various institutions for many years, and has trained teachers at many private sector language institutes in Tehran.
She is also a part-time translator at UNDP, and UNFPA offices in Tehran. She has published a number of papers at various journals, and has presented in numerous national and international conferences.
