Elisabetta Delle Donne is the president of Pixel, an international education organization with a specific expertise in transnational cooperation and project management.
Elisabetta graduated in Political Sciences – International Affairs from the University of Florence in 1993. Since then, for the last 24 years, she has constantly been working in the field of international cooperation mainly focusing on higher education.
Elisabetta is an expert in the planning and management of European projects concentrating in particular on the areas of education, training, culture and research. For over twenty years she has been consulting several European universities and public bodies on accessing European funding opportunities and on international project planning and management. Currently advising ten different universities throughout Europe. So far, she has been involved as project planner and manager in more than 100 projects funded by the European Commission. Several European projects that she coordinated were selected as example of best practice / success stories by the European Commission. She has developed and coordinated partnerships with more than 500 bodies in all Europe, including universities, public authorities, research centres, international networks etc.
Elisabetta is involved as external expert in quality management in several European projects. Since 2014 she is also an assessor of European project proposals in the field of higher education, school education and adult education in the framework of the Erasmus+ KA2 Strategic Partnership Programme. She is also an assessor of European project proposals in the framework of the European Programme COST, for Cooperation in Science and Technology among Higher Education Institutions.
Elisabetta is the coordinator of the organizational and scientific committee of the three international conferences in the field of higher education organized by Pixel every year. She is also member of the scientific committee for the peer-reviewing of papers submitted for international conferences in the field of higher education. She is often invited as expert speaker at International Conferences.
Elisabetta is the main trainer in the international seminar "European Project Planning and Management", organized and coordinated by Pixel, that has now reached its 40th edition. Elisabetta is also the coordinator of the post-graduate international Master in European cooperation as well as one of the trainers.
The 18th edition of her book, L’Italiano Praticamente, a Manual for Teachers of Italian as a Foreign Language, published in 1995 by Guerra, has recently been published. She is also author, among others, of: European funding opportunities in the cultural sector, in Manual of Museum Didactics Media Education in 2003 etc.
