Dr Mahmood Anwar is a Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Glasgow Caledonian University, Scotland, UK and previously for 8 years in Curtin University, Sarawak Campus, Malaysia. Prior to join academic position, he was a Research Scientist in Hitachi CFP PTE., Singapore and as a Scientist led industrial projects for High Voltage Component and corrosion protection. He was also technical adviser of several palm oil industries for acoustic materials design. He has been long serving member of IMM Coating Fingerprint Task Force for Coating Standard Development towards Oil& Gas industry and led the Committee of Standard Development in IMM as a Co-Chair. He has contributed numerous ASTM standard development and sat in the committee of Nanomaterials, Advanced Ceramics and Metallic Coating committee of ASTM. He has published more than 35 research papers including Journals, International Conferences and Co-Author of a Textbook in Biomaterials as well as regular reviewer of several journals. He is very active in industrial research, postgraduate supervision and academic accreditation works, serving as an auditor for numerous academic programs. Due to his industrial research contribution, he has been awarded Fellow of Institute of Materials, Malaysia and Fellow of Institution of Engineers in Scotland. He is a Chartered Engineer (CEng MIMMM) and a Senior Fellow of Advance HE (SFHEA), UK.
