Ajda Osifo is an English Language Instructor with the Academic Bridge Program at Zayed University in Dubai.
Prior to moving to the UAE in 2011, she taught at the University of Sydney Foundation Program, Sydney, Australia for 9 years. She also served as an adjunct faculty member at the University of New South Wales Institute of Languages for 2 years. She functioned as the Assistant Director of Studies at Taylors College English Language Program in Sydney, Australia. Concurrently, she worked with AMEP (Adult Migrant English Program), where she was involved with teaching migrants and humanitarian entrants. Ajda obtained her Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics and TESOL from University of New South Wales, following her Graduate Diploma of Education from Australian Catholic University, Australia. She holds a Bachelor of Arts double degree in English Language and Literature and Education.
Ajda is passionate about pedagogical innovations and her professional research interests include mobile assisted language learning, mobile teaching pedagogy, social constructivist approach to teaching and conversational analysis.
