Kevin Johansen is advisor for Sami research and higher education at University of Nordland.
He graduated from the University of Tromso / Universidad de Granada in political science in 2002. Since then he has worked as project manager for developing Sami curriculums at the Sami Parliament and has been senior advisor for Lule Sami and South Sami distance learning at the County Governor of Nordland.
Johansen is also member of the expert group that publishes the Sami Statistical Year Book every year and has also represented the Sami Parliament in several education comitees in Norway. He was the project leader for a big EU-funded South Sami language nest project from 2008-2012.
So far Kevin Johansen has been involved in numbers of Sami language projects, especially in the Lule Sami and South Sami language aereas.
He has spoken at several international minority language conferences and is now managing the Sami Ulpan project in cooperation with Hebrew University.
