Georgiana Burbea

Georgiana Burbea graduated from the Faculty of Letters, in Brașov, in 2004, and afterwards she completed a master's degree and a doctorate in language sciences at the Jules Vernes University, in Picardy, France. Since 2010, she has been working at the Faculty of Letters, in Brașov, as a professor and researcher.

Currently, Georgiana Burbea, PhD, is an Associate Professor at the Department of Theoretical and Applied Linguistics of the Faculty of Letters, at Transilvania University of Braşov, where she teaches courses in applied linguistics, communication, discourse analysis and French didactics. She has been teaching Romanian as a Foreign Language for almost 5 years to international students coming from Asia, Africa, North and South America, Europe and the Middle East. Within the Romanian as a Foreign Language programme, she has been actively involved in teaching Romanian at all levels (A1 to B1), as well as Romanian for special purposes. Since 2020, Georgiana is involved in the GIRO project, as a junior researcher, and works with the concept of gamification applied to language learning.
