Dr. Armine Vahanyan is an Associate Professor at the Russian Language Chair of the Armenian State Pedagogical University named after Khachatur Abovyan.
Armine holds an MA degree (2002) in Russian and English Languages, a Ph.D degree in Linguistics (2014) and has been working in the Armenian Higher Education System since 2003.
From 2003 to 2008 she worked as an instructor at the State Engineering University of Armenia where she taught Russian as a foreign language to the overseas students. From 2003 to 2004 she also worked as an ESL Instructor at Moscow State University of Service (Yerevan Branch).
From 2006 to 2014 Armine also lectured at Yerevan State Linguistic University after V.Brusov, as well as at Yerevan Institute of the Humanities.
Since 2015 she has been acting as a lecturer at the Armenian State Pedagogical University (Russian Language Chair) where she teaches Russian as a Foreign Language, Russian Professional Communication and Translation Theory.
Since 2017 she has been also working as an Adjunct Lecturer at the American University of Armenia where she teaches Introduction to Russian Language and Culture and Russian Professional Communication.
For the last 15 years, she has constantly been participating in a number of international conferences and workshops on Linguistics, Language Teaching, and Translation Studies.
Armine is an author of over 20 scholarly articles and university issue papers and a co-author of three CLIL textbooks and manuals for university students.
Since 2006 Armine is a member of the International Association of Teachers of RussianLanguage and Literature (MAPRYAL).
