Innovation in Language Learning

Barbara Bakker is Italian and lived in Egypt for eight years. She currently lives in Sweden, where she graduated in Library and Information Science at the University of Borås and in Arabic at Dalarna University. At Dalarna University she has been teaching internet-based beginners courses in Arabic language since 2015. She is interested in two research fields, namely modern Arabic literature and language pedagogy. She translated short Arabic fiction from Arabic into English and into Italian and, together with L. Berg and N. al-Rubaye, also several children’s books from Swedish to Arabic.
