Sandrina Esteves holds a PhD in Special Education and she is an Associate Professor at the Lisbon Higher Institute of Education and Sciences (ISEC Lisboa).
She is also Vice-president of the Technical-Scientific Council of the School of Education and teaches in the Master in Preschool Education, in the Master in Preschool Education and Teaching 1st CEB; Degree in Basic Education, CTeSP in Child Support and in the CTeSP in Social and Community Intervention .
Researcher in CIED, Interdisciplinary Center for Educational Studies at the Higher School of Education, of the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon (ESELx-IPL) and the Center for Special Education Studies, Faculty of Human Motricity, Technical University of Lisbon, also collaborates as a Language Reviewer at the Journal of Research, ESELx-IPL.
Working as a teacher of higher education since 2005, she has developed several projects in the field of language development and reading and writing learning, author of the book Fluency in Reading: from assessment to intervention - Pedagogical Guide.
She is the researcher responsible for the I Know how to Read - Reading Aloud Project at ISEC Lisboa.
