Varvara Golovatina

Varvara Golovatina is a language lecturer at the Institute of Applied Language Studies at the University of West Bohemia (Pilsen, Czech Republic) and a methodologist at the Russian centre of the Russkiy Mir Foundation. She is involved in several educational and cultural projects for students, teachers and the general public as part of the Russian centre’s activity. She also conducts methodological, cultural and linguistic courses, workshops and presentations for Russian teachers in the Czech Republic since 2010.
Varvara Golovatina is a co-author of several Russian grammar and exercise books, including “Tvoj šans A1” (2018) and “Tvoj šans A2” (2019) published by Fraus, an author of different teaching materials, presentations at the international conferences and publications in Russian, English and Czech languages.
Varvara Golovatina holds PhD in Philology (Russian equivalent – Kandidat Nauk, 2006, Ural State University, Yekaterinburg, Russia). Her dissertation in cognitive linguistics analyzed representation of concept ‘inspiration’ in Russian literature texts of the XIX-XX centuries.
