Martina Lipková is a university teacher of English for specific purposes (ESP) in mechanical engineering at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, one of the seven faculties of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (Slovakia). Academic programs of the faculty provide study in a close relation to international industries, thus contributing to the relevance of its academic programs and career prospects for its graduates.
Martina Lipková has constantly been working for over 20 years of her professional career in tertiary education. She worked as a lecturer at several universities: University of Fine Arts and Design, University of Economics, University of Law (today: Pan-European University), School of Economics and Management of Public Administration, University of Technology in Bratislava. English in mechanical engineering, business and economics have been the main areas of her interest in teaching English as a second language.
Martina Lipková has been involved in research projects granted by the Cultural and Educational Grant Agency (KEGA) MŠVVaŠ SR with focus on ESP, Information communication technologies (ICT) in education, content and language integrated learning.
Martina Lipková is a member of the editorial board of The Scientific Educational Journal (PEGAS Journal) registered by Ministry of Culture under the number EV5131/15 covering science in education, educational research, pedagogy and methodology fields.
In September 2017, Martina Lipková took part in European Researchers’ Night held in Brussels within the Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions.
