Natural Space Learning with Cultural Approach to Exploring the Potential of Children in the Tanoker Community

Abstract

This article discusses about classrooms in nature with a cultural approach to explore the potential of children in the Tanoker community, Jember, East Java by using research methods of literature study. The purpose of this research is to know influence of about classrooms in nature with a cultural approach to explore the potential of children in the Tanoker community, Jember, East Java.

 

We know that the majority of formal education in schools only give priority to explore the potential of children in the academic field. While the ability of each child was not the same, there are excel in academic and there are also excels in non-academic.

 

Tanoker Community participate in preserving the national culture, Community Play Tanoker which was founded in 2009, to accommodate children in the District Ledokombo as a means to play traditional games Indonesia. Tanoker Community have special motto, "friendly, fun, learn, work" focused primarily on the potential of children through the learning process with a cultural approach in the outdoor atmosphere

 

From the results of the study literature it is known that the classrooms in nature is very effective to apply to children.The learning process that takes place in the outdoor atmosphere isfun learning tolearn in the open space, instinctively will create fun learning environment, without pressureand away from boredom.
