An Interaction Science and Art for the Dissemination of Scientific Knowledge in the University Center Senac

Luciana Mara Ribeiro Marino, Senac University Center (Brazil)

Abstract

In order for scientific and technological development to actually bring about changes in society, it is necessary that knowledge generated by science be applied and disseminated. For this to happen, research programs developed in Higher Education Institutions should contemplate scientific communication guidelines aimed at bringing science closer to the community, through actions that go beyond publications of scientific articles. In this way, this project aimed to analyze scientific dissemination actions and to propose new strategies with creative, interactive and innovative approaches that also reach the non-scientific community. As a result of this analysis, the importance of the interrelation between science and art for the dissemination of scientific knowledge was emphasized. The application of the study was carried out at the Centro Universitário Senac, which began to use cultural and artistic manifestations in its actions of Scientific Dissemination, performing in the years 2015 and 2016 exhibitions and events that presented results of research projects developed by students and professors of the Institution In a more interactive and creative way, thus obtaining the greater participation of the community in the projects of the Institution.
