Educational Factors Contributing to Fun and Boredom during the University Learning

Abstract

The research dealt with Educational factors contributing to fun and boredom during the university learning among university students, thus, to achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive method was followed by using an intentional sample (106 students of the second year, speciality psychology), who were asked to give a self reports, by using the content analysis.
As a result, the research proved:

  1. The percentage of students experiencing boredom during university learning (53.53%) is higher than those living pleasure (41.96%).
  2. The factors that favor pleasure: a sense of role and success, understanding and participation, enthusiasm, activity and class discussion are interesting and relevant for everyday life, the collaborative learning.
  3. Factors promoting boredom are: routine presentations, ambiguity, isolation sensations, stress, lack of interesting topics, theoretical standards, inability to communicate in class and fear of failure.
