Agile Learning Experience for STEAM Education Using LEGO® Serious Play® Methodology
Pere Juàrez, University of Barcelona (Spain)
Abstract
“You can learn more about a person in an hour of play than you can from a lifetime of conversation” - Plato
Traditional classes, increasingly discourage students. Teachers need more and more of new resources and tools that allow them to reach students and encourage them, especially when we talk about technical-scientific subjects, where the applicability of them is fundamental. Through PBL (Project Based Learning) experiences and by applying Agile Learning itineraries with LEGO Serious Play, from the University of Barcelona we are changing the way of teaching Entrepreneurship and Innovation, also developing STEAM competencies.
The experience/workshop Leonardo's Secret workshop will be presented, where the attendees apply Agile and Design Thinking, while discovering how to apply the Leonardo da Vinci "Codex Curiositatis", which is a compendium of STEM skills and attitudes for the 21st century
The LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® methodology is an innovative process designed to enhance innovation and business performance.
