Promoting Reading of Foreign Languages in Changed Media Worlds from the Aspect of the New Teaching Methods (An Example of Experimental Research of Teaching Faculty in Croatia)

Abstract

A prerequisite for reading activities by young people in school processes. To promote and investigate empirically is first the precise knowledge of factors in the Reference to processes within the "reading socialization". Reading socialization is an area-specific section of media socialization from the aspect of learning a foreign language. This is the process of acquiring competence how to deal with writing in different media offers technical provenance (print media, audiovisual media, computer media) and different modality (fictional-aesthetic and pragmatic texts). Since the activity of reading is only one of many media usage options by Representing students was already in the spirit of this work a definition of a term found that the term Reading Socialization is a section of an overarching media socialization. The Research is concerned with the research question of which reading-promoting effects of foreign languages are in one Student expects a learning environment characterized by media pluralism or so far were observed. Thus, the main purpose of this research will be to show what are attitudes of students of Pedagogy at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek like, according to the use of the new ICT in teaching. The research will be conducted at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek, at theĀ  graduate and postgraduate level from 1th January to 15th Februar of the academic year of 2020. he results become pragmatic central planning dimensions of foreign language teaching such as teaching goals, Methods and content analyzed and described in more detail using the new media all for the purpose of improving teaching methods on the teaching faculty.
