Harnessing AI Tools for Advancing Program Learning Outcomes Assessment and Continuous Improvement

Samar Mouti, Liwa College, Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates)

Abstract

The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools in education is revolutionizing the way institutions measure and manage Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs). This paper explores the application of AI-driven systems to streamline assessment processes, enhance curriculum design, and foster continuous improvement. Leveraging tools such as Intelligent Tutoring Systems (ITS), Learning Analytics Platforms, Adaptive Learning Systems, and AI-Powered Assessment Tools, institutions can gain detailed insights into student performance and PLO achievement.

AI technologies analyze diverse forms of student work, including exams, projects, and presentations, to provide real-time feedback and predictive analytics. This data supports educators and administrators in identifying performance gaps, refining teaching strategies, and improving program effectiveness. By automating data collection and analysis, AI tools reduce administrative workload and enhance decision-making processes.

This study highlights the transformative potential of AI tools in evaluating PLOs, ensuring alignment with educational standards, and promoting sustainable, data-driven improvements in academic programs. These innovations represent a significant leap toward achieving excellence in education, equipping institutions to better meet the evolving needs of students and stakeholders.
